Last year I was on the search for inexpensive quality glasses. A lot of the companies I was interested in, because of the price range, were based online. I have a hard time finding frames that fit me and I was nervous to purchase a pair online without being able to try them on. Then I came across Warby Parker!

Warby Parker is a company that offers designer eyewear at an affordable price. You can read more about their story HERE.

“We believe that buying glasses should be easy and fun. It should leave you happy and good-looking, with money in your pocket.

We also believe that everyone has the right to see.

Almost one billion people worldwide lack access to glasses, which means that 15% of the world’s population cannot effectively learn or work. To help address this problem, Warby Parker partners with non-profits like VisionSpring to ensure that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need.

There’s nothing complicated about it. Good eyewear, good outcome.” -Warby Parker Website

I’m all about giving back so the fact that Warby Parker partnered with another company to distribute glasses for every pair purchased, had me sold!

What also caught my attention about Warby Parker was the fact that you can do an at-home try on trial for free! You pick out your glasses and they ship straight to your door! You can pick out 5 frames and keep the frames for 5 days before returning. Ask your family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers how they look! If you didn’t like any of pairs you chose, just send them back and order more to try on!

Once I finished reading through the Warby Parker site, I added 5 pairs of glasses to my at-home try on trial and waited for their arrival! I ended up choosing the Louise pair in jet black but they are also available in two other colors! Most pairs start at $95. You also have an opportunity to save with your vision insurance. On the website, each frame has a detailed description along with measurements and pictures of the frames “in action”. You can also choose from a single-vision prescription type or a progressive prescription (starting at $295)

If you’re interested, you can also see how the glasses are made! Super neat. Click HERE to view.

“We cut out the middleman by designing and producing our own eyewear, then passing on the savings to customers. We effectively sell glasses wholesale (because it makes no sense for customers to pay for multiple mark-ups) “

It’s about time for me to purchase another pair but I haven’t decided which ones yet! My husband has also purchased from Warby Parker, he went with the Nash pair in tortoise. img_0045

If you’re on the fence about buying a pair of glasses online, I would suggest doing the free home try on! You literally pay nothing and get to try on glasses for 5 days. You’ll get a pre-paid shipping label and all you have to do it ship them back! Great for people like me who don’t like to leave their house most days! Just click on the photo link below-
