- 1/3 Cup Coconut Oil expeller pressed
- 1 Box Rice Krispy Cereal regular sized box
- 1 Bag Regular Sized Marshmallows
- 1 Large Non-Stick Pot
- 1 Medium Spatula
- 1 Medium Non-Stick Cookie Sheet
Grab a non-stick cookie sheet and place it on the counter. For this version I used a wax paper sheet on top of my cookie sheet but the treats did get stuck to the paper so I don't recommend that.
Get your box of Rice Krispies ready by opening the package and setting it aside.
Measure out the coconut oil and drop it in the large pot.
Pour the marshmallows on top of the oil and turn the heat up to medium.
Wait for the ingredients to melt a little, then grab your spatula and stir frequently to help the process.
Once fully melted and all the clumps are gone, pour the Rice Krispy Cereal on top and quickly mix. Use your judgement on how much cereal you want to incorporate. I had a family sized box of cereal for this recipe but I didn't use the whole box of cereal.
Once incorporated, turn the stove off and pour mixture onto your cookie sheet. Let cool, or eat while it's warm!
If you want your treats to have a coconut flavor, use Virgin Coconut Oil instead of Expeller Pressed.
